GetRegionalSettings by Shaun Vermaak is a script to remotely get the country value of a host's regional settings

Publishers website: https://www.ittelligence.com
ITtelligence mirror: GetRegionalSettings.zip (626 B)

Usage: CScript GetRegionalSettings.vbs /Computer:HOSTNAME

How to Use ItLink to this section

It reads the sCountry value from HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\International on the target through WMI.

CScript.exe //nologo GetRegionalSettings.vbs /Computer:HOSTNAME
CScript.exe //nologo GetRegionalSettings.vbs /Computer:CompanyServer01

Output is one tab-separated line: the host name and the country, for example CompanyServer01 South Africa. If the host cannot be queried, the country field is empty.

Note: it reports the .DEFAULT profile setting, not the setting of the logged-on user. The download was updated on 5 October 2026 to fix a missing quote that stopped the script from running.
