How to Use ItLink to this section
It sends one ping and compares the round-trip time with the limit you give.
IsSlowLink.exe HOSTNAMEORADDRESS MAXROUNDTRIPTIME
IsSlowLink.exe branchserver01 100Parameter | Meaning |
|---|---|
HOSTNAMEORADDRESS | Host name or IP address to ping. |
MAXROUNDTRIPTIME | Highest acceptable round-trip time in milliseconds. |
It prints a banner, the host, then Slow Link = False with exit code 0 when the reply is within the limit, or Slow Link = True with exit code 1 when it is slower. No reply or any error also gives Slow Link = True and exit code 1.
Note: with the wrong number of parameters it prints the usage line and exits with code 0, which a batch file will read as "not slow".
