IFPing – Checks if a specified host is reachable

IFPING is a Windows based commandline utility that checks if a specified host is
reachable and then returns the ERRORLEVEL value back to the CMD.

IFPING is a third-party native tool, so the details below come from its bundled readme and the usage text built into ifping.exe.

host | Host name or IP address to ping. |
wu[:xx] | Wait Up. Keep testing until the host comes up, giving up after xx rounds. |
wd[:xx] | Wait Down. Keep testing until the host goes down, giving up after xx rounds. |
/S | Silent. No screen output. |
Each round sends 10 pings and the host counts as up when more than half reply. ERRORLEVEL is 0 when the ping succeeds and 1 when it fails. The included ex_ifping.bat shows how to branch on it with if %ERRORLEVEL%==0.
Note: the readme states that a "Destination net unreachable" reply is treated as reachable. Only "Request timed out" counts as unreachable.
